Russia and Vietnam are preparing for joint military exercises

Russia and Vietnam will hold new international military exercises, the press service of the Eastern Military District (VVO) reported.

The parties discussed the topics and program of the upcoming exercises via video link, specified the timing and their venue. It was proposed to call the exercise “Continental Alliance-2022”.

According to the head of the international military cooperation department, Colonel Ivan Taraev, the purpose of the exercise will be to develop the practical skills of commanders and staffs in a difficult tactical situation.

Earlier in March, more than a thousand Russian servicemen of the 201st military base took part in exercises in Tajikistan. They practiced blocking and destroying illegal armed formations using reconnaissance-fire and reconnaissance-strike systems.
